BIG UPDATE!!!

So If you have checked my blog lately you will have noticed that I am a really lame blogger. I had big intentions for this blog, I was going to update with pictures at least twice a month well as you can see since my last post was Halloween I'm having a little trouble adjusting to life with 4 kids and dealing with the holidays. Well, It's New Years Eve and I finally have some tome to update this THANG!!

First off - The Conk Family just got back from a funfilled weekend in San Diego. Here are some pictures from Legoland and The San Diego Space and Aeronautical Museum.

Next - we had a Wonderful Christmas this year which was kicked off by our 1st Annual "Zobrist Cousin's Christmas Camp" We had a great time will all 20 of the Gerry & Jody Zobrist Grandkids. We had matching t-shirts with each kids name on the back of his or her shirt, we decorated ornaments for a tree for Granpa Zobrist since he couldn't be home for Christmas. We also played Christmas music with the chimes and decorated gingerbread houses! Tons of fun. Thanks to all you girls who helped pull this off!

Christmas Eve was spent out in Logandale (not to many pics due to a fussy baby) But I did manage to get a picture of the Fandago puppets that the kids made and used to act out "Twas the Night Before Christmas" Narrated and personalized by Amy!! I have to say we were all a little skeptical about this but it turned out great and will be sure to become a new Conk family tradition!!

Christmas morning Terry and I had to wake our kids up at 7:00 am (who ever heard of having to wake thier kids up on Christmas?!?) But once they were awake they hade a blast!!

Brett's Favorite Present - Legos (BIG surprise)
Sam's Favorite Present - Horse Stable and Horses (another BIG surprise)
Colby's Favorite Present - Transformers
Terry's Favorite Present - New Octive Mandolin
Kristin's Favorite Present - Cozy New Robe and Coach Diaper Bag

After our morning festivities we got ready and went down to my mom and dad's where we ate and opened presents. The kids are gitting bigger and the presents smaller and more expensive!! 5 of the kids got Disney Mix Max video mp3 players. Very fun gifts!!Chuck and I had a Pic-off I wonder whos picture turned out better (his camera is newer and better than mine!!!)

All in all Christmas was a wonderful day!!

Happy Halloween

I hope all had a great Halloween. Ours was pretty quiet. Brett went trick-or-treating with his friend Andrew from church and school. Terry took Sam and Colby around our street. They had more fun when they got back though and sat out on the the front porch and handed out the candy. Here are some pictures for those of you who didn't get to see my kids.

Bonnie didn't exactly get to dress up for the festivities however I found this shirt that probally showed my feelings more that hers but I thought is was cute!!

She's Here

After 38 1/2 grueling weeks of pregnancy we finally welcomed Bonnie Rose Conk into the world. At 5:30 in the morning on Thursday, october 25, 2007 we arrived at Southern Hills Hospital. After getting checked in and waiting I was wheeled into the operating room at 7:15 a.m. I was very nervous but after Dr. Swainston came i with his Ipod blasting i calmed down immediatly.

Dr. Swainston then had the nurse turn on his "Delivery" playlist and he began the c-section which lasted for 3 songs.

- "I'm coming out" by Diana Ross, while he was cutting!
- "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw, after she came out!
-"Fix You" by Coldplay, while he was stitching me up.

All in all the whole experience wasn't bad at all. But needless to say she is just beautiful.

Born 7:58 a.m. Weight 7 lbs. 9 oz. Length 19 3/4 in.

Needless to say we are all very thrilled to have our baby girl here. And thanks to all who have been to see us.

7 More Days

We are scheduled for a C-Section on October 25th. At my last doctors appointment I was dilated to 3 cm. which doesn't really mean a whole lot for me usually but Sam was born 2 weeks early when I was dilated to a 2-3. I am just hoping that all these contractions mean something. This baby seems to be big to me anyways. I am getting really uncomfortable and can't wait to hold her.

For those of you who haven't heard we have decided on a name. After months of indecision we have finally agreed that she will be named after My Grammy Bonnie and her middle name will be Rose after Terry's grandmother and sister. So Bonnie Rose Conk will be her name. I am truly excited to give this baby a name that means so much and is after people we love and mean so much to us all.

Well in preparation for Bonnie's arrival, while Terry was on his fishing trip I kinda killed myself redecorating Sam's room to make room for the baby. I repainted and replace fabric on the padded chair rail in there. I ordered bedding for Sam and Bonnie (The baby's isn't here yet but Sam's is all set up). Here is a picture of Sam's new bed and room. Sam is really excited about sharing with her new little sister.

I have also been busy putting together a little scrapbook for the baby to take with me to the hospital so I can fill it out while things are still fresh in my mind. I also made a page for people who come to visit me at the hospital to write a little note to the baby for her to keep and read someday to see how much she is loved. So if you come to see us in the hospital please if I don't ask you remind me to get this little book out and have you sign it.
